As is plain to see, Coddington is a major A-hole. However,
did any of us know, or see this side of him before the
TV series? I'm playing devil's advocate here.... I feel
exactly the same as all of you, but I also put the three
monkeys of OCC right up there. Impossible deadlines, yelling,
screaming, mock fights ( over trash littered about
the shop ), etc. It's all done for the camera.

I just wish they would all go away

Nuch

Good point Steve. I guess no one here is a close personal friend of Boyd, his wife, or his employees so piling on with name calling/bashing/personal attacks etc.is OK in this case. (?)

No bashing here. We're all just standing up for that poor girl mechanic who was fired for working on Mrs. Boyd's car when she demanded that one of the male employees who was not nearly as pretty as she was, lube her lugnuts.

My step brother has had an "Up close and Personal" relationship with Boyd Coddington. Boyd did a Camaro for my step brother around 1983...so my step brother and I have 'prior knowledge' of how he operates.

Please reference my post above in this same thread...regarding me "telling Ken when he has time"

Boyd did not get my step brothers Camaro done on time...on budget...OR sorted out. He IS as he appears...as I've met him numerous times. Plus the fact that he's on a TV show that pepetuates the love him/hate him talk

Besides are any of Boyds cars in this months issue of Hemmings? Or, is Boyd a member here? That seems to be the prerequisite for the bashing...

There is a HUGE difference between the two...

Give me a break...

I will be enjoying taking my car with my family to an early morning show tomorrow...Never been ther before...Should be fun

You are entitled to your opinion ....Also please remember that it is a TV show created to appeal to an audiance....The fact of the matter is, he was called an (censored) on a public forum....member or not. That is a personal attack.....As far as the Hemmings artical goes..I questioned the artical and the way it was written..Not knowing who owned the car, it's hard to tell right from wrong in print.Could I have done a better job of asking questions...Yes..But my "bash" was never as personal as naming a (censored).

Sounds like a perfect plan for Labor Day Weekend. If you happen to run across Mr. Coddington, run across him once for me too.
Be safe and have a Great time!

Give the "Puff Boy" one from me also......He would still be a Machinist at DisneyLand if it wasn't for Buttera showing him how to do all that stuff....Too Bad John wasn't a better Business man........

I'm sure that if you had put your "Faith" in him and Invested in his Corporation that he used as his own personal "Piggy Bank" .......And you lost "ALL" your Investment....Your Opinion of "Puff Boy" would be different..........
