I believe the switch to screws occurred in late April/early May 1973.

Thank you gentlemen. The car belongs to a relative. I asked him if it was a real Z28 or a clone. He said he wasn't sure. Some people!!!!!! I would have to decode a car before I bought one!!!!! hehehe.....
Trim tag says yellow-white stripes, but it's blue now. He stopped at my house to show me his new 12 bolt with discs. I said let's decode it......... Thanks again, ktownkid

73 = screws ok
There was a mid year change from rivets to screws. If there is a T in the 5 digit of the VIN its a Z.

Trim tag says it's supposed to be yellow with white stripes. I'm trying to find a photo of one like that on the 'net now. If you happen to see one....... Thank you all again- ktownkid
