To have them work properly, you'll need to have the reverse lockout linkage between the column and the trans linkage, which will turn the collar on the steering column to activate the lights.

Neutral Saftey Switch.....

I kinda love being able to "hit the key while in 1st gear" and just pull away from the guyz when you've been told how quik someone elses car is ![]() It leaves them in the middle of their sentences and dumbfounded on why their 5.0 or new-found muscle car can't do that! lolololololo ![]() Jeff x2 ![]()

Thank you for helping me out on this issue. Upon further inspection the linkage on the column is no longer there. What ive come up with for a solution is a limit switch mounted in the gear shift area. When the stick shift is in the reverse position it will trip the limit switch that will be ran through a relay to handle the amperage of the reverse light bulbs. Easiest fix I could come up with. Hope this helps anyone with a similar problem. Cheap fix, just a little time consuming making brackets.
