Was this the car at the Roanoke, VA car show this past weekend? It looks like the same car that I looked at there. Nice car ( closed up the times I went by ).

Gary, If you are in Roanoke...there is an antique store on Williamson road that is having an auction today...and again for the next 3 Saturdays...there is alot of car and gas station stuff in that shop....I recall ( 2 or 3 ) boxes of license plates and frames ( they were on the floor near the front windows...if you go there )
...you may want to check it out....and maybe get lucky in finding the dealership frames .... ..check it out here is the website for the auction...with some photos http://www.auctionzip.com/cgi-bin/au...09298&kwd= ![]() |

Sam, I grew up in Roanoke Va....graduated in 1970...
...and several years ago I believe I saw the ad for that car in the paper....It was a Black 396/375 1969 chevelle with red interior..and I remember it had around 28 to 30,000 miles on it....I remember it well...cause I could not afford it at the time and told a friend in Colonial Heights Va. ( Ronnie Staples ) about the car and I believe he bought it....He had several classic GM musclecars at that time....that is one sweet car ![]() |

You have a very good memory. Ron Staples was in fact the 2nd owner of my Chevelle. He owned it for most of the nineties. Wayne Tuck was the original owner '69-'90 and he lived on Byers Rd, where his parents still live today. He was 20 when he ordered his car and probably graduated from High School in '67or '68. He told me the car had about 29K miles on it when he sold it. Sounds like that auction may be a potential source for stuff from a local Chevy dealership like Wickline. Thanks for your help. Here is some more info on my Chevelle in case you missed it. '69 Blk/Red L78 Chevelle ![]()
