After this turn of events, I am strongly considering keeping it. If I do decide to sell it, I have Ron's phone number and he will be the first person I call. Thanks again everyone for all the help.

Joe's got a cool LS6 Chevelle and it sounds like he's going to give a helpful previous owner first right of refusal. He's not being a bad guy.
Just about EVERY guy on this board has a car some previous owner would love to have back, whether for sentimental or monetary reasons. Anybody else want to cut their car loose so the board can have a big group hug? FWIW, Kudos to Ron and wife for sharing that info. I know many would be tempted to hold that stuff hostage in hopes of forcing a deal. I hope your good Karma is rewarded someday. Best wishes to all. |

Wow what a neat story! Is there a way the build sheet could be reunited with the car?
That is cool that it is a Brigance car. It makes sense that the Nickey card was with the car because Brigance was not that far from Nickey at all. Could have even been a dealer trade.

There is something to be said about nostalgia. The history of this car is really neat; I think restoring it like these pictures would be cool. |

I think it is great also that RBodem, (Ron & Spouse), are sharing the information. I have had the experience of talking to the person who owned my car before me. Talk about holding the information hostage. He would not tell me who owned the car before him - the original purchaser. He has time-slips when my car was raced but will not even give me copies! He also has pics of the car when it was being raced and restored. THEN.... He had the gaul to offer to buy it from me for what I paid for it. I know he has the build sheet but I can't prove it and there is nothing I can do. Kudos to Ron and wife!!!!!
He will never see my car for sale - period! (Do I sound a little angry??) ![]()
