Well Today I received yet another rejection This was with AARP with United Health care
I called them and they told me my wife was uninsurable because she has type 2 Diabetes
I also called the # you gave and they were no help
I will tell you once you go into the mid 50s you are screwed She gets laid off and has been on lots of interviews but no offers I am 100 % sure it is her age
So here I am on disability and my wife has no health insurance
Say what you will about Michael Moore but the whole health issue in the US is a total joke. The middle class is getting hammered to death There are millions out there just like us BUT this country will waste so much money in Iraq and the hell with the Americans here at home
Sorry for the rant I am just pissed and tried of all the B/S

No emergency room in the US can turn down a patient that is in need of medical attention. It is the people that pay outrageous amounts (I pay $2,400 a month for my wife and I) and have large deductibles that are getting screwed. Sorry but I can't get free medical services like illegals and so-called "poor" Americans.

Moore's methods aside, reading this thread and Norm's plight makes me feel even more fortunate to be here in Canada where standard heath care is simply part of being a Canadian!.
Yes our system has it's flaws and problems but worse is the way health care is just another thing we simply take for granted each and every day...much like freedom!.

You are a victim of "managed care." The HMO's job is to manage the amount of expenditure per patient in order to maximize profit. That's just Business 101, of course, except in this case people are allowed to die in order to control cost.

I think the movie comes out this week? I assume this thread will get even more interesting once the movie's out.

Bill.................Don't forget about the "Lawyers" who sue on a daily basis and the "Cost" that is added into the system for this "Abuse" ( If they would only stick to "Justified" Litigation......No Problem).....Not to change the subject, but the "Boundaries" of justifiable Lawsuits is expanding everyday......Look at this "NutCase" Judge that sued the Cleaners for $57,000,000 for the lost pants......Who paid for that non-sense........Guess Who?????
Look how John Edwards made all his $$$$$$$$.......He's worried about the "Poor" people... Yeah...."Right"....What are the Hidden costs of his "Working the System"....... Everyone has to understand that there is a Balance point and the more that go's out......means more has to come in.....Why should Lawyers be Entitled to just Help themselves to rediculous amounts of money......for What....
Look at Bill (427TJ).........He Pilots many people around the world on a Daily basis........I would say that his "Skill" level and contribution to Society is much more Important than someone who talks out of the side of thier mouth.........The System is Screwed up because Politicians and Lawyers have their own set of Rules and feel that we are here to provide a Economic base for them to Loot at their Leisure.........Whew......Common Sense "Has" to return (Hopefully)
