Wow, I had those Purple Hornies on my '70 Nova that was running a stout running Big Block. My dad made me shut it off two blocks from the house and coast into the driveway after 10pm, that was every night.. Good Luck!

Probably the next best thing to open headers (I didn't realize it "back in the day", but it was a good time growing up in small town Ohio). Here's a grainy pic of my COPO in it's hot rod days. No one I knew had Purple Hornies back in the day. We all went for Cherry Bombs. And Thrush was the super low budge, uncool last resort.....
