Very Cool Sam!! Sam, can you tell from that original rear picture of the car if the exhaust tips were the rolled edged style or straight?? I was just curious..
Thanks Rich

Hey Rich, looking closely at my photos taken on the day after car was delivered, I think they look like the non-rolled tips. Also, this is an 06A built car and believe the problems with the rolled tips retaining moisture had been determined by June and therefore I think had already been pulled from production lines.

Sam, what a spectacular car. I have 1 of 6 1970 L-78 Chevelle Convertible - however I think yours beats me head to head on the show floor.
Thanks for sharing your story. |

[ QUOTE ]
I got a care package from Wayne today including this photo of Wickline Chevrolet's salesman, Hoover Potter, (I pictured him to be much older for some reason ) handing the keys to Wayne. There were some other items in the care pkg which I will photograph/scan and post later. Sure made my day! ![]() [/ QUOTE ] This is my first post here and I wanted to point out this picture was probably taken 40 years to the day as of today 6/13/09. Pretty cool! RMX |

You are most definitely right Anthony. I know this fact will not be lost on Wayne. He is very numbers and dates oriented (particularly the # THIRTEEN!
). Your post is a good reminder for me to give him a call and touch base with him on this special anniversary.BTW, Welcome aboard! ![]()

Thanks Jim. Introduce yourself next time you are at the Pavillions. I look forward to meeting you.
I did call Wayne today and caught him chopping wood while he waited for his lawn to dry so he could mow it. I started off by wishing him a "happy anniversary" - he didn't miss a beat and knew exactly what I was talking about. ![]()

The name is Tuck..........Wayne Tuck.
Dapper Wayne was dressed to the nines on his wedding day doing a great impression (American version) of the infamous James Bond with his faithful (and capable) steed by his side. ![]()
