Beautiful car! Malibu Convertible + whatever the LS6 and SS parts would sell for = clone value or The value of joy and satisfaction you derive from owning and driving it! [/ QUOTE ] I'm with Howard, buy it from a junk man's perspective, then drive it like you stole it. Life's short, have some fun.

We saw a nearly identical car at the ACES show in 2003. An absolute gorgeous clone, and the owner was totally up front about it being such. [/ QUOTE ] The car you are thinking of belongs to Andy Haas. A completely honest and straight shooting guy who has a beautiful clone. See attachment. Rick

That's it, I just couldn't remember his name. Beautiful car, done right! If I recall correctly, it even had you questioning the authenticity for a few minutes. Andy was very quick to step up and tell us it wasn't what it appeared to be. Classy guy.

I've been considering building an LS6 clone Convert resently but there are a number of nice ones out there that can probably be had for what it would cost to build one.
Looks like 75K was all the money on this one the first time. LS6 Here's a beautiful LS5 nobody touched at 90K. LS5
