That is an awesome vair. perfect color combo.
I am pretty sure you could not get A/C and a Turbo on the vair it was one or the other. and the wood wheel is a telescopic coloum as well . here is a photo of the factory Turbo set up , just not enough room for both. thanks for those photos, sweet car. ![]() ![]() |

Nice 65' Vair. A 1 year color and conv. to boot. The cardboard box on top of the condenser was a 65' only mess.
They got smart in 66' and put it on the firewall. On the 62'-65's you had to unbolt the condenser and flip it on to the top of the fender just to change a fan belt. There was never a turbo/ a/c combination offered. Nice telescopic/wood wheel option and a nice car. ![]() ------------------ Chris 1967 Yenko Stinger YS-199 Southeast of Disorder

First: Hi all!
Hey Bruce! Did you see that '68(?) Beaumont I was talking about? That was the first one I've seen and it was cool to see the differences between it and Chevelles!

Hugh...welcome to the site!
The Beaumont had already left by the time I got there. Was it an SD396? BTW, is that your Chevelle in the first pics? ![]()

As mentioned previously this was MoPar night. Didn't get a real good look at this next "model" , but judging by the body lines and pigmentation, believe it may be a Panther Pink convertible "Challenger" (am guessing a "six-pack" under the hood or perhaps a hemi as it appears a bit front heavy)... ![]() [/ QUOTE ] A "Challenger" maybe....... but NOT a contender. (in my opinion!) HOWEVER, the '57 Olds in the background has my attention! ![]()

Yep, that'd be my guess too! Good eye, Dennis. Was wondering when someone would pick up on that! ![]()

Bruce,
The car never had the hood open and I don't recall seeing any BB badges...if there are any at all .I WISH that Chevelle was mine. I believe the guys name is Cory and he got that car at a GREAT price for a true SS. Not sure if its the original motor but it has a 5 or 6 speed in it. ![]() [ QUOTE ] Hugh...welcome to the site!
