Hi Frank and Vic,
I'm a big fan of pace cars! When I found the #98 Unser TTA it was in the hands of Dale Armstrong. Dale is a fellow Canadian that flew the coup and ended up in SoCal. Dale is an amazing wrench and found his greatest success being Kenny Berstein's crew chief. Dale's wife is a press secretary and represents the Unser's and the Bernstein's. Dale went to Indy, met and spent some time with Unser and ended up buying the #98 car. Some of the memorabilia that came with the car is in the above link. Unser gave Dale his participant entry ticket and all access pass, cool stuff. Jim is definitely an authority on these cars and a nice guy to boot. I've not had the chance to drive it but if it works anything like a GNX your in for alot of fun Vic. ![]() |

Vic,
If you go to turbobuick.com they have a section on TTA's. Some very resourcefull people over there, that is where I met Jim. Let us know if you find out who the driver was. Fred |

![]() prototype. the TTA's fly... neck and neck with the GNX's.. Jims car runs its ass off.. scary fast top end.. no speed limiter and 155-165 is the norm for these
