I worked on both of those cars. The Black Monza was painted silver and blue the year after and fitted with a 351 Cleveland and a 4-speed Lenco and I built the headers for it. When it was black it had a 5-speed Doug Nash box.
The Jenkins car later got a 500 cu in motor from Pat Musi and I built the headers for that combo. It was really difficult because it was limited space for them. If I remember right they ran high 7s with the 500 cu in. Both cars are still around here in Scandinavia as far as I know. It would be cool to restore the Jenkins car. Jan |
