In the documentation for our Chevelles, G80 is the positraction option and G84 is the 4.10 gear ratio option code. No mention of 3.55 gears. I believe that 3.55s were the standard gears for this application.

Chevelleless after 46 years......but we did find a low mileage, six speed, silver 2005 Corvette. It will just have to do for now.

And there might even be more paperwork available....
Several years ago I stopped by the dealership while researching a car, and Mr. McKay still had dealer invoice binders going back to when they first opened (before 1969). Pretty cool to see original dealer invoices by the binder-full. Worth a shot. Good luck, BCD.
