Yes, it is pretty bad. I have some customers that have printers that are less than two years old. They just got a few vista units in (before checking with me) and guess what? HP does not make a driver for vista! You "Get" to buy new "Vista Compatible" printers.....

I anticipate business will be good in the next several months, but customers will not.........

BTW- I got a call from a customer I last saw two years ago, when I installed his Linux Server. The server took a power hit and crashed. He said that he has only turned the power off/rebooted 5 times in two years! And three of those were for Hurricane Evacuations. The server was dead, and I asked what NOS he wanted on the new one.......
Linux all the way.....

Rich

Anyone use Apple? I've been thinking of switching all our systems here at work to Apple due to all the problems with MS and mostly the anti virus problems. I understand that Apple does not have problems with virus's or trojans. Is this correct? We need Quick books, and use Word and Excel often and I use many imaging and cadd programs for home designing and virtual walk-throughs. Anyone have any input?

Consider Linux all the way.

There is a distro called Knoppix that's fairly wasy to work with, and red hat is still fairly easy. We find Gentoo to be the most versitile, but very complicated. Suse was just bought by Novell, so it now has support and is "mainstream". Of course, you have to buy it from Novell if you want the support and edirectory.

Just my .02,

R
