Default Re: 1970 superbird nosecone on e-bay

I witnessed a front end accident involving a superbird once.
Around 1982 in Lombard, near the corner of Main & Madison was a Taco Bell we used to frequent weekly.I think it's a Supercuts now.
They really shoehorned the Taco Bell building in there and you had to reduce your speed rapidly or else you would meet their back brickwall head on.They didn't need a speed bump because of this set up.
Everybody would grab a table outside and eat bean burritos w/Mountain Dew while the cars went by sreaming off the line at the nearby stoplight late into dawn.
A white black V/top 6pk Superbird driven by it's 20 somethin owner felt the need to showoff by lighting them up while pulling into the P/lot and underestimated the cars braking ability.
He compacted that front nose right into the hacienda stlye brick building, buckling and splaying the nose along the way.It looked like Jimmy Durante on a bender.
The kitchen staff came out to see what happened while his Pheobe Cates like girlfriend quickly removed herself from the vicinity and hopped a ride with a stranger in a candyapple Mustang Mach 1.
The cops soon arrived and laughed so hard, they had to put their hands over their mouths while taking his statement.
I think the 20 yearold was more phased & bruised by what his girlfriend did as opposed to the severe accident damage.
