Like I said if you need a piece of paper to authenticate a car then your in sad shape sure its nice to get paperwork but I don't need any just more to keep up with and no there is no difference in changing emblems seat covers or engine parts with repo parts than there is with having a correct build sheet made I understand that some may use it to falsify a car but I can tell the difference and so should you if your a buyer or collector

I believe 99.9% of the board subscribe to this statement by Kurt: "There's a big difference between a reproduction part required for the function of the vehicle and a piece of paper that is used to authenticate a vehicle".

IMHO Joey your statements are foolish and reckless and not what this site is about. The integrity of are hobby is at stake.

I have to agree, you're missing the point of most of the membership. And exactly why would you desire a fake piece of paper that says what your car is?

Paperwork is just one piece of the information about a car. But it can be pretty important when evaluating a car.

"and no there is no difference in changing emblems seat covers or engine parts with repo parts than there is with having a correct build sheet made "

I really can't understand how a grown person who is active in this hobby today could make such a statement. I won't repeat my birth certificate analogy, and it's not just joey; if the original poster of this thread is selling his "packages", there are a LOT of other people who subcribe to the same misguided philosophy and ethic.
So, So, very sad..............

Spoken by someone who DOES give a damn about keeping this hobby of ours on the level. Thanks Verne for all that you do!

[/ QUOTE ] your use of language indicates your IQ!! Some of you are just like the little girl in the nursery at church this past sunday she had a toy and wouldnt share it with the others when her parents asked her why she said I wanted to be the only one to have one now that is sad that you want to act like little girls I bet that the ones crying the loudest on this sublect are the ones you had better watch!!you are also putting words in my mouth I never said I thought it was ok to have a build sheet made and say its the real thing because I dont believe that however I do believe that it is ok to have one and say it is a like repersentation of the original same with your cars you restore if the 12 bolt is missing and you go find a exact date and ratio and put it in your car even though the numbers are the same it is not original but a as origional restored car
