njsteve:

I couldn't see the ad on your post. I used to own a 1970 BFG Radial Tirebird. It was a Ram Air IV car until the owner of DeVille Tire in Chicago's son blew it up. When I got the car it had a Ram Air III, Minilite wheels and a M22 Trans. It still had the window straps (front and rear) and the nastiest proportioning valve under the master that I've ever seen. That car would stop so flat it was unreal. Anyway, I've been looking for it for it for a long time. Believe it or not I used to drive it to work and I had to sell it because I broke my left ankle. I replaced it with a 1970 Firebird Esprit with a 350 2V and an automatic. Would have, should have ...could have.

Yeah,..it has to be a hoax, or worse, a scam. I haven't seen pictures of this guy's alleged car or where the car is.

For the record, as stated before here on this site, my research shows the Tirebird I own is the only one left of the "show" cars.

According to all the articles I've read, BFG had 6 Tirebirds, one race, 5 show, all 70 or 71's built by a Southern California speed shop. The race one's had the real stuff, while the show's had 400's or 455HO's There are a couple of race Tirebirds owned by Mark and Linda Mountanos. But they don't have an LS6 in it, just a 500hp, 305!!!

Here's are the links to the two racing Tirebirds:

http://www.historictransam.com/Drive...aMountanos.htm

http://www.historictransam.com/Drive...Mountanos2.htm

By the way, if you click on the schedule at the above links, you can see when to watch these cars live.
