Default Re: 70 LS6 MALIBU auto/bench Docs. 30,000 Mile Val

- In the story of the factory built LS6 Plain-Jane Malibu, it sounds like the car was ordered built with an engine other than what was installed by the 'friendly co-workers' so wouldn't any build sheet show the 307 or whatever was originally intended?.

Here in the Oshawa GM plant through the sixties I've heard how they used to allow you to walk along the line with your ordered car as it was being built and options added by co-workers became too common a thing so GM had to put the hammer on guys doing this...is this what ended allowing guys to walk the line Keith?.

Back in the late 70's I was looking at a '63 BelAir and the retired GM fella who owned it told me how he had walked the line w/ the car being built and had additional options added by co-workers also proudly mentioned how extra seat bottom stuffing material was added to his car...the seats did even seem firmer than most too but I passed on the car as the firm seats didn't help the cars rear frame rust problem..
