Here's a 67 GTO that I believe this guy still owns. Check out that patterned vinyl top. I remember seeing a few cars with tops like that, but I'm guessing it was a dealer add-on, by a restyler.

Looks like all the photos are back on this thread.
As a side note, I started a new career last year in pest control, and this is my area of operation. On Friday I went to a call in Keremeos, and it turned out to be one of the racers from back then. He is now in a care home with advancing Alzhiemers. He has his memories of racing and cars though, and I promised his wife I'd send her the photos of his car in action, which I did yesterday. He still has the car, and I didn't ask what they were doing with it. Anyway, it's the El Camino pictured. |
