If you want to do a site that is better... Make the auctions end when there has been a period of 1 minute with no bids after the scheduled auction end time. How many people have tried to bid at the end but got timed out. This would truly let the high bidder win, not just the guy that got a bid in at the last second. It would also get more money for the seller.

How about GoingOnce.com?
Maybe add that to the software to end the auction, and get more money for the seller and give more buyers a chance to win. This might also help weed out the shill bidders.
