Bermine chev. is/was in the St. Louis area I think?

I'm not up on my stingers, but I think they might have used the tag in '67. Is it possible that this tag, if real, was originally used on a stinger? It's possible that these tags were used on some of the '67 Camaros, but I've never seen or heard of one

M,the tag say's Yenko Super Camaro...I like to keep an open mind on cars like this...but too many flags are up right now. What rear is in the car? Traction arm? Cowl tag? Where is the tag in the door jam? The rivots look wrong to me as well as the layout..I have found a bogus 68 tag before.....I think he needs to dig a bit deeper here....

Ok, I have a few questions because this is getting interesting.

1. Why does the tag say YS-7041 when the list shows the numbering using three places, for example 741? The 1968 Yenko is numbered just the list, I.E. 8025 is YS-8025.

2. Could you spell Canonsburg (correct spelling) again as you see it on the tag or get a better picture? In your opening post you said it was stamped "cannonsburg pa" with 2 n's. Could be a mispell on your part but want to make sure.

As mentioned, flags are up on this. Never heard of a door tag on a 67 Yenko.

I just came in for a quick break working on 67 Yenko Camaro 706. There is NO tag on this car, nor was there any. But I did find a number of real cool things breaking this one down. Like the original spring tags on the rear, the original rear shocks, crayon "K" on the rear seat bulkhead, and a ton of the original Royal Plum paint. The original blowproof, and headers, hood pins, that are WAY different than the ones you get today, and the original traction bars. The way the tach was mounted on this ride was different than others I have seen as well....BKH

I can't say why the door jam tag has YS-7041, but I can tell you why the list has the syntax as '741'.

The '67 list that we have on this site basically came from two sources, a list of cars sold by a dealer other than Yenko whereby Don kept track of commission payments due, and a list that was attached to a letter from Don to the NHRA.

The commission list is handwritten, and shows the stock numbers as '741', the list attached to the letter to the NHRA is typed but does not show stock numbers. So, my point here is that we've seen Yenko list stocknumbers both ways, the formal version 'YS-X0XX' and the shorthand version 'XXX'. However, in my experience the formal version is generally on typed documents, and the shorthand version is generally on handwritten documents. Therefore, I would not expect to see the shorthand version on a door jam tag.
