Default Chris Piscitello- SIR_VIVOR's '62 Bubbletop 409

My earliest recollections of a car was my dads '62 BelAir that he purchased new at Nickey Chevrolet (my cousin was the assistant service manager there 'til '69). Of course dad couldn't afford a 409 on top of his $115.00 per month mortgage payment, but I know he would have loved one. For twelve years we got to know Bessie which is what he named it. So many fond memories that I put out a request to find a nice original 409 to go with some of my other unrestored original cars for old times sake. Fast forward to a year and a half ago, I was out of the country when I received a call from a friend of mine telling me about the car I was looking for on Ebay. As soon as I got to port, I got on a computer and got right on the phone to make a deal on this car. It is 100% original right down to the dated shocks. A good friend of mine who knows these '62s well did the clean up on it and was amazed at the cars originality. Everthing that was taken off for hot rodding, was put in the trunk of the car and is now back in place.

Dad would have loved this one

WOW !!!! I would say Chris' sYc username is very appropriate. What a beautiful car If the rest of the cars in that building also belong to Chris, I would say Members Rides has a lot of future material.

We're heading up to Chris's candy store on Saturday to see all the fun stuff. Should be a fun day of cars and burgers.
The L78 Chevelle will be there and the 409. It will be good to see the '67 Z28 again.

Yeah, that ain't a bad looking old Chevrolet. The perfect color combo. Will it spin the tires?

Mark

Chris, What a great car.I have had the pleasure of owning a 62 Bubbletop 409/409 car, but not as nice nor original as yours. I have a favor to ask. A good friend of mine has a 62 Bel Air 409/380 HP car. He has had a tough time locating the correct air cleaner base plate and correct carb. Any chance you could post a picture of the base and carb, or PM them to me? Would help greatly in the search, as many he has been offered have not been correct. Thanks, Marc
