does anyone know what number the ZL1 car of Bill Jenkins was? i know there were 69 recorded cars just curious to see which one belonged to Grump.

That is what Ed C told me. He said that the engine went to Grumpy before the car was sold. Ammon Smith sold the car and I believe was sponsoring Grumpy. An L78 was in the car when sold. I think it sold in May of 70. I'd have to check the POP to be sure. I've never made an attempt to contact Grumpy but Ed said he had no luck.

The Pro Stock 1969 Camaro raced by Mr Jenkins was not a factory ZL1.
He still has all the paperwork for it; it was a Dover white L78/M22 car.

For some reason, I thought Grumpy raced a CanAm 427 motor or am I mixing that up with a Z11 car he raced years before?

Grumpy did run a can am 427 and I have one of those blocks if anyone is interested in buying . Thanks
