Just noticed that the VIN stamp between the engine and tranny do not match. The fonts appear different. I assume the tranny shown in the other post goes with the engine.

I understand the font issue... but the number match I think... could you expand?

I think what Paul is trying to say is, the engine VIN and trans VIN would get stamped at the same time on the assembly line.

With that in mind, the stampings should have identical font sizes, shapes, spacing, etc.

That's exactly what I explained to you a few days ago when you asked me to look at the pictures of the car. There are a few major issues with the the car.

Are those circular lines after the X supposed to be there? They look like marks from a cutter when a block is decked to me.

Or grinder marks left when removing the other set of numbers.

It doesn't look right at all.
