Before you post a statement on this site, you should really have all the facts on the car. The guy who listed the car in NJ was not the owner, he was the middleman. He did not pay Joel Rosen to document the car. He called Joel on the phone and did not send the money. The reason the car is not in GA right now is because you did what many others do and try to steal the car from the Seller. I drove down, offered the price he wanted and treated him with respect. The Seller even bought me dinner because he appreciated that I didn't play games with him, as others did.
Those are the facts.

It was a factory sidepipe car from the factory. However,it received the Hooker sidepipes as a performance upgrade. Also the car was a stick car.

John,
I knew Bob was the middleman, and I know that several people looked the car over. No one would have played games with the seller if they'd known the selling dealer was Baldwin & only you seem to have this info.
I'll admit to hearing different senarios about it being real & not real. The proof is surely in the documentation that you got from Joel and the claim that it was actually delivered to Baldwin Chev. As I mentioned elsewhere, I have yet to see any factual, work order, type documentation from Joel Rosen. Just letters. If you were to get an NICB report confirming Baldwin then the car's history becomes more credulious & far more likely to get a blessing from Joel.
John, so either the seller found the original documents relating to the car or an NICB report was run. So, please tell us...what are the facts?

You were the first allowed to look at the car and you offered him 20K. I was the second guy and paid him his price. Bob told you and I both that Joel Rosen knew the previous owner of the car. I confirmed this with Joel so at that point, its a no brainer. Again, as I stated before, Bob only spoke to Joel on the phone and never sent the $ to get it documented. I did. As for documenting Motion cars there is only one way to do it. You may have your opinions on him. However, I have always had a good experience with him. I have bought several cars in the past that I thought were Baldwin Motion cars, spoke to Joel on the phone on these cars, sent the $ in to get them documented and they turned out not being a Baldwin Motion car and lost my money. Its a chance you take when trying to get them documented.

John,
In case you haven't been able to read between the lines I'll tell you my theory.
The Vette was listed for sale & you called got the vin from the middleman. The vin was run on NICB which told you it came from Baldwin Chev. You bought the car, sent Joel the info you had then posted it here for sale at $275K after Joel confirmed it was real.
A google search of your name reaveals that you may be the police captain for West Haven Ct police dept.
If my thoery is incorrect I hope you & the members accept my appology. It's just that the pieces seem to fit together.
BTW I never made an offer to the seller because of the lack of documentation.

Jude-
Well, your theory is wrong. However, it is interesting that 2 days after I purchased the car, I received a call from Bob representing you wanting to buy the car from me and all of a sudden Bob had informed me with new information that the car was delivered to Baldwin Chevrolet. Bob told me that the gentlemen that wants to buy the car knows it is a Baldwin Motion vette and will pay me accordingly and make it worth it. So Jude, why don't you tell everyone on supercar how "you got the information on the car"? Well, now you have an opportunity to purchase the car like everyone else, by bidding on ebay. Second of all, I think you have a heck of a nerve to google anyone and no I am not in anyway related with a captain in West Haven Police Department. So once again, your theories are all wrong about me. You are just trying to discredit my car on ebay because you didn't offer Bob the right price at the start and lost the car.
