Here in Kansas City this week, Monday: low of 3, high of 20. Tuesday: low of 17, high of 56!

Driving in this morning to work it was 18. Forget windchill! No wonder concrete and asphalt take a beating here.

I had a trucker come in from Detroit yesterday afternoon. When he left his house on Monday morning, -18 below, -36 windchill. It was definately a bad time for his air drier to go pots up on him.
