I am as much a neophite to computers and picture posting on this site as I am in copos. Tomorrow a friend is coming by to take photos and then email them to me. If some of the more knowledgable would volunteer for me to forward them to, I will and then they can post them I would appreciate it.
Also would someone explain engine pad... is this the date code casing site? I know that this whole thread smacks of "poser" but if you want more info on me try www.clubcobra.com and do a search under jayscobras or call me on my cell phone 972-742-2594. I would not post that on a public forum if I wasn't serious Thank you Jay Nordstrom |

If you bought it as a clone, what makes you think it is something more? What did the seller tell you about the car. Sounds much like the way clone car morph into real ones.

What part of my orinal post did you not read or understand? As to the seller, I have not spoken to him/her.
Sorry to be abrupt but that's the way I am if even a newbie. Ever heard of a seller that didn't know what he sold? Jay |

I understood what you wrote, "I have recently aquired a nice 69 copo clone Camaro to add to my collection. "
It sounds like something made you draw the conclusion it was a clone. How do you acquire a car without speaker to a seller? Jason |

If you are asking for help why not give the whole story? Was the car advertised as a clone at the auction? There are plenty of people who would like to help here. The reason I asked my original questions is because many builders of clones sell them as such but down the road the car's get represented as the real deal.

VIVA.......La Cajun COPO
Does this car still have two trim tags? Last seen with a cast iron intake painted aluminum....restored by a Lou D. in 2002..15" steel rims painted like an XT...It's a CLONE.....Drive it and enjoy it...I don't believe it was ever sold for COPO money....75 to 90k every time I ever saw it listed....Nice car..IMHO Steve |

In my original post i stated that it was bought as a clone and my mind set after the purchase. I do not intend to sell the car unless my "imagination" is real. I am a learner in this and as my profile in clubcobra says "too many cars to remember, just poor white trash with money"
I cannot be more honest than that. The whole story has been given. Maybe I should have been more of a BS artist when I made my post. I thought this site may have been a little more indulgent since it is so highly rated from sources thatI asked. I have over 20 cars in my collection and change them often. I just asked a simple plea to end my crazy imagination. By the way, on surfing the site, I see that your big meeting is happening at Gateway... why not ask Tim Giger or Dan Harman about me. If I was phoney, why would I give my whole name? I don't hide anything but asked for knowledge which I lack,,,if this is a problem in your eyes, disregard these posts and let the truth come out. Is the "9561" on the firewall an original marking, or was it written during the restoration (assuming its a restored car)?
