Colin's article in the above link hits the nail on the head and is an unemotional/unbiased snapshot of where he thinks the market/hobby is and where it is headed. Well worth a couple minutes of your time to read it.

Colin is right on the money (no pun intended), with his investment/valuation analysis. I will say one thing though, since the valuation run-up has taken hold, I have far more fun with my clones, while my numbers car just gathers climate controlled dust.

So Colin, how do you feel about a '67 RS/SS 396/325 auto? One of 1473? Just kidding! A well written article that I will forward to a few of my car buddies.

As for "continuation cars," I would happily drop the coin for a CSX4000 Cobra but not expect stupid money for it someday at a Barrett-Jackson type venue. I agree with your sentiment: let it depreciate while driving the hell out of it--and ENJOY it. Just don't get starry-eyed after watching 40 hours of auction coverage!

By the way, were you happy with the selling price of your gorgeous six-pack Bee?
