Default photo software?

can anyone suggest a photo software program that i can buy to reduce the megapixels of my pictures so i can post the on message board attachments? i really don't need anything fancy, just simple to use. thanks dennis

dennis, the photo bucket site could not be easier. if you have large photos on your hard drive you can upload them and then change the size (easy one click options under "edit photo") before pasteing them into posts or giving a link to an attachment.

you can also change the mega pixel size before uploading by opening any photo with a "paint" or similar program already on your computer then selecting "image" then "attributes" and lower the pixel size there. any questions please ask. [email protected]

thanks chris and bruce. i went the download free program route, now to practice with it till i can use it. i have heard a lot of people talk about photo bucket and it sounds like a good thing to use. but it would take days to download my pics on this super slow phone modem i have out here in the sticks dennis

Dennis...that's the beauty of the EZthumnail software that I talk about in my tutorial...It will effectively shrink the file size of the pictute while keeping the quality of it. Therefore, it's much easier to upload them...even with a dial up connection.

yes, good point Bruce. without the cable internet shrinking photos FIRST, before uploading, is the only way to go !!
I have the cable and take it for granted.
