I know that it is impossible to know everything about every type of car/truck/bus/motorcycle going through the auction. These announcers are more or less typical of people you see at car shows. All knowing and all wrong. They would be better off sticking to generalities when out of their league. You can't fool me too much on '69 Chevelles. Other years, forget it. They are like a different world in many ways. Even our '69 el Camino is a new experience with differences from the hardtops.
Without seeing the cars in person, it is hard to tell but many seem to be selling under what it would cost to buy and build them. Even at my minor league level, it is hard to build a car for less than it will be worth in finished condition and that is with me doing much of the work. No matter what the prices, B-J seems to be doing pretty well from it all. ![]()
