Default Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS

I just got done looking at ALL 126 pages! Thanks guys! (I think, because now I'm kinda depressed)

Anyways, here is one of my all time tear jerkers. A 1967 RS/SS 4spd 375HP 396 Convertible! All original numbers matching ROTTING in this backyard outside of Detroit for years. I spent years begging the owner to sell me the car as I watched it rot farther and farther into the ground. At first he was a first class prick about it, but then he got pretty nice as he saw me year after year and I was being polite each time and showing genuine interest in the car. On this day he actually showed me the car. That's me in the red shirt. Could not get the hood open without stressing the hood so no underhood shots, sorry. Last time I was in touch with the guy he was moving to a city south of detroit, Riverdale? Romulus? or someother "R" named city. Does anyone know the car?? Did it survive??

Theres a Riverview and a Romulus here. No idea if it survived but I doubt it lasted much longer where it sat.

Lemans blue, black gut, with a 3spd and console. 90k+ on the OD and it appeared to be a lacquer paint job or single stage. The rain made it shinier then it was. $16,500

Jed, they may have painted over the rot!

Make a good high school car for some kid. Keep him out of a ricer.
