Not wanting to sound like I know too much about Cole Porter, but didn't he have a leg amputated in the
late fifties and become pretty much a recluse never to be seen again, dying in '64?

[/ QUOTE ]
that could be.its just what the old guy told us when we picked it up.i never heard of cole porter before until that day.he told me just about everything i ever needed to know about mr porter

What a shame; it looks like they tried to push the Shelby out of the garage before it got to the car but must have been too late.
I'd still take it though with hope of being able to bring it back; those '69-'70 Shelby's are my dream car.

Don't worry, the way that carcass has been stripped, I am sure that the trim tag and Vin are long gone. Non-air car though!!!

Just was looking a little harder at the last picture. Notice the Vista Cruiser and the '67 up by the garage?

I just told Glenn (Dog) about a local Junkyard umm I mean a reputable used parts dealer. It's a shame that these cars can't be saved! Most that I looked at were still salvageable/rebuildable. With all the repro parts out there and all the combos that can be made.....boy it would be fun!
