Nice T/A. Looks like the same color as the car in John Wayne Movie, McQ. Mike [/ QUOTE ] You are right sir. Only that was a regular 455 4bbl not an SD. This particular car is awesome: rare color and perfect restoration. Just for info, a four speed 73 SD T/A in need of restoration sold for $125K two weeks ago http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...em=200053176701 and a nice 73 Formula SD w/auto sold for 65K from the same seller http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Pontiac-T...044874476QQrdZ1 . He also sold a 74 SD auto for $75K last month. Legit seller and real sales. The SD-455 was available in both the Trans Am and the Formula. The Formula, though rarer, does not bring the same $$$ as the T/A. Less snazzy looking though it does have the shaker unit. Four speed cars bring a premium over automatics, though you could not get a/c with a four speed. There are some people out there who say the 71 and 72 455HO's were faster (especially the people who own them ) |
