L89 427???? I dont get it??? L89 was for the 396 not the 427...

If they have all of the paperwork and it looks legit it seems to be ok... funny thing is if this was a Camaro it would be more than double the price...
IMHO I think that the car is a damn good deal at that number... as long as the engine checks out ok... (no restamps) James

L89 427???? I dont get it??? L89 was for the 396 not the 427... [/ QUOTE ] l89 WAS A 396 IN CAMARO AND CHEVELLE 427 IN CORVETTE. For some reason 68 and 69 vettes dont bring strong money in L89 form,even the convertibles. Its a good deal at 30k,but done coupes are well under 100K . |

I've always thought they were way too cheap too! .
Remember that one someone advertised here about a year back for like 18 thou w/ original engine? . They're still a deal and this one sure looks like it's worth a closer look at the paper! . ![]() ~ Pete

They only made 390 in 69.
I think that given the performance they are a good buy at the current prices... they really have not gone up by any large amount in the last 3-5 years... they were well under 100k back then and still are a good bit under 100k.
