Hey Ken, Sounds like it's going to be a cool car. We are in the process of restoring a White/red 65 Biscyane 2 door 409/400 right now. We are planning to paint it around the end of February and have it all done around May also. The 409 is all done and I just tore the M21 apart today for rebuilding. I'll look forward to seeing your car when it is done! ![]() Steve [/ QUOTE ] Steve............Post some pic's...... ![]() Ken ![]()

Looking fantastic. Did it need a paint job. Looking at the pics it looks pretty good. Then again, so do most of the cars on Ebay

Actually........The guy that owned the car was a "Moron".....when he listed it on eBay, he had it listed as being a Monte Carlo and being White (actually it's Beige) in color.....the pictures that he posted along with the ad were probably a couple of years old.........(my fault for not going to look at it)..........it's a super solid car and I guess I saved it from the guy that had it as I don't think he was a "Car" guy........ When the car showed up, the inside of the car was filled with "Mold" and mechanically and electrically there were some "Issues"......the car was stored outside and was a very nice car at one time, but this guy didn't have a clue..........

He never even bothered to clean it........shipped it filthy dirty....The bottom line is......I'll be very happy with it when it's finished to my "Standards".......But if I had bought it with the intentions of just driving it,I would have been very dis-appointed....... I've been very "Lucky" (read "Solid") buying cars off eBay, but I have always bought knowing that I was going go thru anything I bought and paid accordingly.....again, it's my Winter therapy.......with a car at the end.....LOL Ken ![]()

Are full-size cars the same way, where there is no paint code? Or do you just want to paint it white verses the "original" color?

Nice work. Good luck! Dan.......Actually the paint code for the car is "V" which is Cameo Beige.........I just don't like the car that color.......I'm leaning towards White or possibly Sandalwood,or ?????????? Doing the work is easier that picking a color........ Ken

Ken.....you really need to paint it what ever color you like and makes you happy. If you like pink, paint it pink, you like sandlewood, paint it sandlewood. Personally, I think that car will look awesome whatever color you paint it.....except pink!

			Ken,

Educated us on big cars. I know early Vettes (and would assume other late 50's early 60's cars) did not have paint codes. So the original color of the car is typically only found in the hidden areas like under the carpet and in the seat retainers (etc). Are full-size cars the same way, where there is no paint code? Or do you just want to paint it white verses the "original" color? Nice work. Good luck!
