Mark,,, My eyes were telling me that the hole was unfilled and I guess I was somewhat right. The hole I was looking at was unfilled, just was looking at the wrong hole. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction......Bill S

kwhizz it looks like you know what you are doing here, just a heads up on the speedo cable. if you decide to go with the original type speedo cable that enters the trans on passenger side, don't forget to drill the 1" hole below the accel linkage. there is also a dimple on the passenger side of tunnel for the cable bracket to drill. also i found that i could not just change the tailshaft housing on mine because the speedo drive gear on the M-21 main shaft was not in the same place. not sure if that applies to all M-21 trans? dennis

The Radio showed up today.....Perfectly stock appearing with AM-FM 4 channel 45 watts per channel...satelite ready...when you turn the radio on, it comes on in the FM mode....there is a LED that is installed in the back shield behind the needle.....when you tune in a FM station as the signal gets stronger it changes from Orange to Green.......if you want to listen to AM....you turn the Radio off and turn it immediately back on and it is now in the AM mode and the LED is Red........Tunes....

Also.......went to the Engine shop tonight and they had the engine torn down........Bearings Junk, Crank was .010 under....needs to go to .020 so I'll just replace it, cylinder walls tapered .005 , but the pistons appear fresh, probably a lousy honeing job.........the heads were oval port with a rectangular port aluminum manifold ......see where this is going......$$$$$$$$$$$
Getting a headache..........
