Ken:
This car in any colour including just primer will look great. My last remaining 66 impala is Madeira Maroon so my vote does not count. However the 66 I received the most complements/ comments on over the years was a 66 biscayne with a fawn interior and I think the paint was called tropic turquoise.
That was a nice combo also

I wonder if it's different if you have power steering?

Sincerely,

"I don't know man"

The bracket was probably cut. GM didn't make one like that. The bracket in the 2nd pic is correct. My favorite GM mole can't find any documentation to support that short design. Cutting it like that weakens the support for the alternator. Things twist under load. That's why they changed it from the 1965 design. You don't want to have belts flying around at 7 grand! Since we're picking, the upper heater hose nipple on the intake isn't factory correct in the 1st pic. 2nd pic (Jody's) is factory correct. I guess Jody or previous owner added the engine chrome.

Ken, the bell housing should be #3872444. Fan looks good. I've seen 2 designs. That's one of them. Why so many digits in the part number of the crank pulley??
