That's cool. Looks like Mr. Wingate found his passion early in life with Chevrolet.

I gotta move to CA someday. You guys are in car paradise (and the wine and weather are pretty good as well).

----Our dealership (Classic Motors) bought several cars from Bob. Among them a 2-door 150 station wagon with a 283/283, close ratio 3-speed. The car was bought new by a Nascar mechanic, and then for some reason he never drove it much. Car still exists in Kentucky somewhere near Paducah with less than 5000 miles on it. I could have owned it several times but the price was always just a bit too steep. Thats actually how I met Al Maynard as he made a trip down to Chicago to buy it but wouldnt pay the price in the end either. The year was, I believe, 1976-7.....Bill S
