Yeah, it is a real SS 396 auto on the column-bench seat car, just like the original that showed up at the Mecum Auction. It was a Fathom Green car. If this was repainted to the original Fathom Green, it would be a dead on copy. we just didn't want to repaint a car that had just been painted. The SS emblem above the Yenko emblem on the front fenders, we left on for the same reason, did not want to fill in holes and repaint. All other emblems are stick-on.

And oh, by the way, Daytona Yellow was one of the colors ordered by Yenko for some of their cars.

Nice looking car for the money considering what resto prices are nowadays.

Yes, there were/are Yenko Chevelles with bench seats. But, please refrain from calling "your" clone a Yenko, when it's a SS396 Chevelle.

It is what it is and appears to be a nice car for the money, but I wish it was green.

What would be nice is if people would come here and sign up to be involved rather than just to try to sell their stuff.

JMHO.

Yesh, I wish they had left it green too before I got my hands on it.

I would love to be more invilved, however I run four websites for all kinds of cars for sale and do not have time to be invilved in every website devoted to each kind of car. Believe me I would LOVE to!

I sell cars on:
www.corvettefor sale.com
www.bigblockchevys.com
www.internetmusclecars.com
www.milliondollarautosite.com

Checkout the rest of my cars for sale to see the quality I sell. I didn't put them all for sale on this forumn, just the Yenko clone because I thought someone might like to have a real nice SS 396 Chevelle/Yenko clone at a real low price! Compare what I am asking to some of the other Yenko clone Chevelles in the $30-50 thousand dollar price range they want, and you will see what a bargain it is compared to those.
Thanks for looking.

I agree Supergas. Jasper...neat car...hardly a re-creation but neat none the less for the money. Don't expect to come here...slap a for sale ad with a lofty "best in the country re-creation" spiel and not have people try and help you understand why it isn't. I don't see anything proving it as a real SS396 either..

Yenko's did look just like a Chevelle with stripes when they were new, duh!!! Maybe because that is what they are.

This will be my last post. and I am sure some of you will love that. I have never been on such a negative forumn. Everybody is ready to pick everyone else apart. I have never, on my websites, or on ANY forumn, tried to deride any other person's car of disrespect anyone in any way.

That does not seem to be the case here.

There are only about 30 Yenko Chevelles that have been found. Do all you guys cutting my clone own one of the originals? If not could you afford one if you found one/ I bet not is the answer for most of you.

am 56 years old and have been around muscle cars since the 60's. I have owned "real" LS6's, L88's, Ram Air GTO's, and many others, back when they were new. If you want to find out about me and the cars i own, check out the November issue of CORVETTE FEVER MAGAZINE where there is a 5 page article about me and my 1971 LS5 454 Corvette and other cars I have owned.

Most of us could afford them back then, but not now. That's why I built the clone. If you don't like it, great, that's your opinion. But as the old saying goes, "If you can't say something good, then don't say nothing at all." After this experience on this forumn, that is why I will say nothing else.
