Mostly an original car. Not many replacement parts at all.
Original interior except front seats. One lacquer repaint in the late 80's - still pretty nice. Engine rebuild a few years ago- all authentic, not many replacement parts, that I couldn't fix it a few hours from my own supply. The car was not taken apart, but the frame is not the greatest I have seen - Has a bit of heavy scaling from rust, but this is only cosmetic, the integrity of the frame is still very solid. All original sheet metal, with some small repairs in the usual places (done right) The only real items it would need right away are new springs and complete brake restoration. Also I would have to reassemble the exhaust and smog system, and remove the headers -- The original pump, and manifolds come with the car, but would need to find tubes, diverter, DG pulley, and hoses, (pretty easy) If I can get past the Ivy Green interior (not one of my favorites), it might be easier for me to decide. He is asking High 40's. What do you think? ![]() I think it is a very good deal, the wife is NEVER so sure. So if the guys here agree with me, my chances are good. ![]() |

I just really don't have a clue about the prices of the 68's. If it was a 67, or a 69, it would be easy. If it wasn't Green, with that Ash Gold (ivy green) interior, it would be easier too. Just a very nice authentic -Real 68 Z. A friend of mine owns it, not offered to the public yet. I have stalled for over a year, now he really wants it to go. My wife remembers that I always called 68's the orphans of Camaro 1st Gen's. And she is always looking for ANY reason NOT to buy another car. Now that is her new saying around here. "it's a Ugly Green Orphan!" ![]() |

Very special. ![]() I really don't mind the colors at all, just the high asking price for a 68. Sure I would rather have a Black/Black RS Z/28. But don't know how fast I will find one. ![]() |
