Im curious as to why the 07s are bidding up to 65K and more and are not meeting reserve ,yet no one is hitting the buy it nows on the cars that are almost 10K less that are running at the same time ? One car sold for 20K over sticker on a buy it now twice , and was relisted a week later with no bids at 15K over.

Sounds like someone is trying to create hype.
Wait until January, they will be discounted by then.
Just another new car that is going to depreciate quickly.

Good advice. The Tbirds and Gt40s come to mind as far as the hype reversing itself.

Thats a GT with the stripe kit and added wheels[im not familiar with the engine mods on that one shown]. Actually money wise its a great alternative,20K to 30K less depending on whos selling, and with 5K in mods will probably be equal to the shelby performance wise. No gas guzzler tax,and doesnt require premium unleaded. And lastly, every dealer has 4 or 5 of them. Very nice looking alternative. Some CT dealers have 20 deposits of 10K on one car they havent even been promised yet, they told me if i wanted to pay 20K over theyd bump me to the top of the line, talk about integrity. At least they get to use 200K of others people money for 8 months or so.

They all reverse themself, except maybe VERY limited production cars, like the Enzo Ferrari.

Remember these:
Mazda Miata
Corvette ZR1
Dodge Prowler
PT Cruiser
Honda S2000
Hummer H2
Corvette Z06 (The old one)

Everyone of those was a huge hype at first, sold way over sticker price.......
Then the production caught up, and everyone who had one,
lost their shirt in resale value.

In 99 I bought a 1990 ZR1 from a guy who paid $97K for his new Corvette - car #356.
Price was: Sticker + dealer markup + luxury tax + Sales Tax.
9 years later, I paid him $27K with only 7000 miles on it.
Sold that monstrosity a few years later...

The Shelbys are VERY nice, but in 4 years - They are just going to be another used car.

Hold it for 25 years and MAYBE get your investment back.
Only if they don't sell a million of them. And you NEVER drive it.

This is Just my opinion, there is definitely some value to being the first one out enjoying one of those.
But for $20k over sticker??? "I work way too hard for my money"

I'll be the one buying YOURS in 3 years.
So don't drive it in the rain.

Saw a 2007 GT-H a few days ago - VERY COOL!!!

Very well said, Jeff....With an estimated 8-10k annual vehicle production planned on the GT500, (from what I've seen in various news clips) it's not worth it (to me, at least) to pay a premium up front just to get a hold of one.
