Hi Guys.
My first post to this site. Can the original vintage 1968 ZL-1 and or L-88 427 with 12.5:1 Compression ratios and solid tappet cams run on todays punp fuel USING a octane/additive? If so, which additive? Where the ZL-1 and L-88 ever offered with multi carbs in lieu of single 4 barrels? If so, which manifold and carb set ups were used? Would the factory single Holley carbs on the ZL-1 and L-88 out perform a factory Tri Power system? Respectfully. Sausage. |

Sausage, there has been a good deal of discussion regarding the Tri-Power set up versus the single holley and most guys are in agreement that while multiple carburation looks cool, a nicely tuned 4bbl will usually outperform it, especially if you consider the tuning time.
