Say, does anyone know who the was reponsable for doing that crazy burnout at the end of the show....

That car was sitting in the outdoor show. I saw it pull in and noticed it was a similar paint scheme to Dave's RS/ZL1. No idea who it was but there's always someone who feels the need to take things past a safe and sane level.

There's no cure for 'Stupid'.

I would assume that someone from the club would have the contact info for the driver of that car. I agree that he should be banned...not only was he endangering his own life...he was also endangering the lifes of the people in his car, the Yenko Chevelle's driver and passengers and anyone else that happened to be standing there. Which club was represented outside?
We should contact the president of that club...

To that driver That was the only negative thing about the reunion

BTW, I'm glad Dennis Cumby only shook my hand

is it my imagination or are the cars allowed to run with trim rings and hub caps still on the wheels?

Last time I went to a drag strip, those are HUGE no-no's

[/ QUOTE ]

Just one of the many benefits of privately renting the whole damn place for the day...It's not often mentioned, but I think its awesome that the sYc essentially has complete and unlimited access to one of the nation's biggest and most state of the art drag racing facilites for the whole day each year. I'll bet John Force himself doesn't get any better treatment at Gateway International than we do!

First I would like to say thanks to Dan Vasic for pointing out the big wheel slide... Then to Darren for calling me a big jerk... I know you guys are playing and I can take it, but when Bruce who has no idea what went wrong says I should be banned because my car was out of control???? that pisses me off... I was going to do a burn out and I didn't rev the Z high enough to spin so I got a second instead... As for the the slide, my porportioning valve has some trouble some times and likes to stick the back brakes... This just happened at as I was trying to stop at the cross road, I tapped on the brakes twice before I had to lock it up to stop before that Yenko turned into the lot... As for the 180??? it was more like a 90 and I had no other choice in the matter but to do the cool Big Wheel slide... I was in control the whole time and I wouldn't have done anything different if I had to do it again!!!!!

I had a great time and met some great people. Thanks to Bruce for introducing me to many who I've only known through this board, and for making an extra round trip to get me from the airport. And a special thanks to Belair for the early Sun. morning tour of downtown St. Louis.....

It was a very enjoyable weekend...

Sorry Dan...I don't have the ability to do that. That's the moderators jobs, not mine. I just think that it was a bit "more" than silly that the whole incident happened.

It looks like Mark was having fun. It could have gotten ugly, that's all.
