Say, does anyone know who the was reponsable for doing that crazy burnout at the end of the show....I believe they were part of the Camaro Club parked outside.

The car was a Blue 69 Z-28 Camaro....he lost control, locked up the brakes and then did a 180 degree turn....almost like that of a Vintage Big Wheel.

Guys like this ruin events such as the SCR....he was lucky not to run into anyone, especially the Yenko that pulled out in front of him.

If anyone knows of or has any pictures of this person....please notify Tom Clary. He should be band from the SCR event.

Dan.

To the rest of you that offered the thanks...it's really not needed . I just had a blast meeting up with the guys from last year...and meeting new people this year.

That's why we love ya!

Also, it was great having dinner with "Neutral Drop" Colin, Mike G.,Stefano and (oops, I can't remember his name...the guy shooting pics for his book)on Thursday night.

Bruce, that was David Newhardt. Pretty cool guy with a GREAT job! (Kinda like Bob Ashton, eh?)

The same thing applies to Darren and his friend Bob, John Platania and Ken Tibor and his wife.

Couldn't agree more!

That car was sitting in the outdoor show. I saw it pull in and noticed it was a similar paint scheme to Dave's RS/ZL1. No idea who it was but there's always someone who feels the need to take things past a safe and sane level.

There's no cure for 'Stupid'.

Another great SCR thanks to every one who helped to make it happen. I enjoyed meeting a bunch of new people and spending time with old ones. Thanks to Steve for the cool hats. My car completly stock with street tires ran a best of 13.80 @ 105 mph.

My friend Bob (chevywish) just sent me this video of me getting smoked in the brackets by COPO Pete. I'll tell you what though. It was an honor to be on the track next to him.

Wow... Thanks! Kool video. What a great reunion. Did a lot of visiting with folks, and still did not get it all in. Thanks Clary's for the great time. We will be back next year..... and maybe, just maybe, with a Nova!

is it my imagination or are the cars allowed to run with trim rings and hub caps still on the wheels?

Last time I went to a drag strip, those are HUGE no-no's

Jim...you are correct. I even have a video of John Oehler with his LS7 Monte Carlo losing a center cap at the beginning of a race. Nice to see you on this site!
