Here's a photo of the front portion of the exhaust system on the #3 ZL1 supposedly taken in 1969 that shows no mandrel bends, wrinkles at every turn.

great photo, it shows the reverse lock-out rod as well, i guess a picture can be worth a thousand words.

A magnified picture is worth a thousand words in this case.

Also note no heat riser on the #3 car.

In one of the underhood photos the alternator bracket mounting stud does not have a nut.

thx for the link.

jude found the speeding ticket when the car was restored at kens place. i believe that it was dated around 1970 and the driver was cited for speed in excess of safe road conditions.
it seems like even back then it was hard to find a place to stretch a cars legs!
