I had a nos one let me ck my ls6 stuff also i think i have nos rods and crank jeff

![]() I just traded 2 NOS 3863143 camshafts for the correct original LS-6 camshaft, 3904362. Was still in the original container, it is stamped 3904362 and nothing else on the end, with the original paint marks. Camshaft was purchased by parts manager person in 1976.

What is the difference between the 143 L-78 Cam and the 362 LS-6 Cam? I thought they had basically the same lift and duration?

According to Chevrolet records:
Cam #143 has: *Lift-.497/Intake & .503/Exhaust *Duration-348/Intake & 348/Exhaust...dated 1965 Cam #362 has: *Lift-.520/Intake & .520/Exhaust *Duration-316/Intake & 302/Exhaust...dated 1970 Both of these Cams are Mechanical lifter w/1.70 rocker ratio. |

![]() In addition to what mr70 stated, 3863143 is correct for 1965 396/425hp and 1966 427/425hp. 3904362 is correct for 1967 427/435hp, 1968 427/435hp, 1969 427/435hp, & 1971 454/425hp, of course these are Corvette applications I'm listing here.
