Have you checked a Chevrolet Canadian Parts book for that 3S suffix code? In the US versions,they always list the Engine-Trans.& Rearend suffix codes. I have the 1970 Canadian version,but not the 1968. I have seen them on the Bay recently,and I think a few on here may own a copy...just a thought,as this is something I would really like to see resolved. Rick |

No I haven't checked that yet.
I don't have a copy of the 1968 GM parts listing catalog. I wonder if any dealerships would still have those books?
