This car is now in Illinois and FOR SALE! It is the finest original car I have ever seen! It is a one owner, one driver car that has been meticulously maintained! The ONE OWNER SPECIAL ORDERED THE CAR, and worked at the plant where the car was built! It still maintains its original California Black Plates and has the selling dealers (H. Dailey Oakland Ca) license plate bracket on the front! It runs and drives like new! It is very fast! No RUST, No Damage, No Paint... EVER!! It has never been apart and the build sheet must be somewhere in the car! I found an original ignition key under the carpet in a small envelope! It has its Original perfect interior!! It is an absolute pleasure to drive. To be honest the owner had a friend sell the car way under market value! ORIGINAL IS ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE! The real deal and a true time capsule!! $39,500 buys it now. [email protected]

Just an FYI.
![]() When using the NADA price guide, you can't add 30% for the SS option to a car that already has it figured into the base price guide. Your link starts with a base car: Muscle Car 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport 2 Door Sport Coupe (396) Therefore, your addition of the SS option would yield a result inflated by 30%. Not debating your pricing or the car, only your NADA estimate. Personally, I love unrestored cars. ![]() The price was certainly right. Blair

The reason I posted it here was because I thought that it was a helluva deal. No one I knew was interested in the car or it would have been a done deal as soon as I saw it.
29,500 was CHEAP!!! LOVE the originals ![]() ![]() How about some more pics of the suspension and engine compartment... I am sure others would love to see the original details as well!! ![]()

The money is made on the buy...
I would have liked to had the car... just don't like the fact that it was not a L78. The deals are still out there it just takes looking for them.

The money is made on the buy... [/ QUOTE ] Correct in this case. If the car had been bought for $10K and was now being offered for $20K, would there still be the same concern about the current asking price? If the car is not worth $39.5K, it won't sell.

[/ QUOTE ] There are no Deals on Rip Bay when it comes to musclecars otherwise you'd see the ads in the local auto trader and newspapers. People watching BJ Auction who have cars now think that their car is a gold mine. Ya, I agree that some are. But I wouldn't buy a stick of gun there, never mind a musclecar site unseen. I tried to buy a 70 SS 396 Chevelle off this guy and he mentioned BJ, and how these cars are like wine that they just keep going higher in price. Ya, I don't dought that, but when I talk to other guys, they want over 50k for a driver 350hp velle when they are in the under 40k range today. And the car is a driver. And I know, it's a sellers market. Read this post and tell me I'm wrong about Ebay. ![]() BTW, nice '69 and a good price if I was looking for a '69. It's tempting to go for a '69. I'm in this hobby for the cars and not the profit. http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138939
