Yes we did Charley, but it doesn't do the trick nearly as well as water. Can really stick to the carbon and gum things up.

Straight water is the best method for breaking up carbon on top of a piston. Keep the revs up, and pour it straight down the front two barrels of the carb, alternating slightly from side to side. You can even trickle it with a garden hose. You will get a feel for how much it can take as you go, but start slowly. Not sure how to describe how much it can take. Obviously, if you over do it, you will cause a hydro lock, and have really serious problems.
