its up top of th efirewall and can be seen with the hood open from the top.. Look for thr R or Q (single 4 barrel carb)

The tag is still on the firewall. Tag is in the door as well. I do not think it has a R. Looked for that. It may have a Q. Will get back for a look early next week. With the digital camera. Earl

False alarm. No R or Q code. Some one got a good laugh with the 427 hood writing. Earl

At least you were smart enough to follow up and investigate. I have learned the hard way, follow up on every lead when possible no matter how far fetched.
